UABC is excited to open online registration for 2021-2022 tryouts! The link is below. Please register online ASAP. There will be NO walk up registration this year.
We will send a tryout logistics email to everyone who is registered, on the morning of Saturday, October 2nd, prior to tryouts.
Tryouts will be held at UAHS in the Auxiliary Gym. Enter through the UAHS main doors on Zollinger Road.
TRYOUT Schedule
Dates: 10/2 and 10/9 (same schedule both days)
3rd grade: 12:15pm – 1:30pm
4th grade: 2:00pm – 3:15pm
5th grade: 3:45pm – 5:00pm
6th grade: 5:30pm – 6:45pm

What is the registration deadline?
You must be registered online by 10/2/2021
We forgot to register online, can we fill out forms at drop off?
No. Registration is paperless this year. You must register online. I can’t stress this enough.
What does my fee include?
- Nike or Under Armour hoody with name on the back
- Long sleeve shooting shirt
- Reversible uniform
- 2-3 practices per week (on average)
- League Preview (scrimmages)
- 2-3 games per week (December-mid February)
- Post Season Tournament
How much does it cost?
We are still finalizing costs. There are some unknown expenses that we hope to have next week. The goal is to be $495 per player or less.
When do I have to commit?
Due to product shortages with apparel, we are ordering uniforms immediately after teams are announced. If you try out, we are expecting you to play if you try out and are selected.
Why are you asking for uniform sizes and numbers if my son hasn’t made a team?
This is definitely a tryout. Your son hasn’t been selected until teams are posted on Sunday evening, 10/10/21. We are compiling the uniform order at registration so we can order them immediately.
We have a conflict on one of the tryout dates. Is that ok if he misses a tryout?
We support athletes playing multiple sports and understand there will be conflicts since we are currently out of season. It is acceptable to miss a tryout. However, the best chance to make a team is to attend both tryouts and be evaluated multiple times. Please indicate on the registration which one you will attend.
My son plays another winter sport or has training for an off season sport. Can we miss basketball for this?
We expect that basketball will take priority over ALL other sports during the winter. This includes practices and games. This is a competitive travel league experience.
My son goes to a private school in UA, can he try out?
Yes, but students in UA schools will be given priority.
We live outside of UA, can my son try out?
No, UABC is for UA residents only
My son is in second grade, can he try out?
Unfortunately, he cannot. UABC is for 3rd-6th graders only
I’m interested in coaching, how do I register to do that?

What is the mask policy?
Masks are recommended for check in and exiting the building.
What are the COVID protocols for the season?
We are working on those and will communicate them as we get closer to the start of the season.
Can I forward the registration link to others?
Yes!! If the participants are UA residents in 3rd-6th grades.
